For more than 35 years, Dr. Mark Heaver has provided osteopathic medical care to the communities of Dallas and Rowlett, Texas. Currently, Dr. Heaver operates a private practice where he focuses on diabetes management, preventative medicine, and general wellness. Before launching the practice in 1997, he spent 19 years operating the Rowlett Family Clinic, where he specialized in internal and preventative medicine, as well as allergies. During this period Dr. Mark Heaver also served as a Public Health Officer for the City of Rowlett.
Before starting his medical career, Dr. Mark Heaver earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Tulsa; there, he also undertook graduate work in Life Sciences. He then enrolled at the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he completed his M.D. Dr. Heaver went on to perform a rotating internship through the Stevens Park Osteopathic Hospital, which is located in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Mark Heaver is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. As an active member of his professional community, he participates in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Heaver is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Diplomate of the National Board of Examiners for Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. He also provides his services to Lakeview High School as a team physician and is a founding member of the Rotary Club of Rowlett.
